Classic Record Store Closes in Allentown
Double Decker Records in Allentown PA closed for good recently. It was well known for its vast inventory of music records. The vinyl record industry crashed several years ago due to compact disks and streaming music.
Those old enough to remember record stores that had rows and rows of "LPs' will share in the sadness over the end of this store. Records provided a more tactile experience with the music they loved. There was a special feeling for records - in addition to the music within them there were the photos or liner notes. Just the act of placing the record on a turntable was part of the music ritual. We wish the owners of Double Decker Records all the best as they start their next adventure - and thank them for having maintained the rich tradition of "albums".

Humor
Two guys were at a bar discussing the design and architecture of modern skyscrapers. One guy claimed that new buildings were aerodynamically designed so that no one could fall off the roof and hurt themselves. The second guy was incredulous; said that was impossible, and then asked if the first would place money on the validity of his claim. They both then engaged the bartender to officiate. All three moved to the observation deck of a nearby newly constructed 50-floor high rise.
The first guy then jumped off. He accelerated down 15 floors, slowed to a stop, and slowly rose back to the deck and landed on his feet. The second guy was unimpressed and said that this was a fluke of the wind and couldn’t be repeated. The first guy then walked across the deck and jumped off the other side. Again he accelerated down 15 floors slowed to a stop and slowly rose back up to the deck and landed on his feet. The second guy said, ok, I was wrong, you win the bet. That looks like fun and I need to try this.
He then jumped off the deck accelerated 15 floors and kept accelerating until he hit the street. The bartender then turned to the first guy and said: You know Superman, when you drink you get really mean.
