The Hallmark Channel Begins Live Stream of Bethlehem
On November 30, Hallmark revealed that Bethlehem has been selected as one of six Christmas towns across the country to be showcased in a 12-hour daily livestream until December 30.
The livestream will provide viewers with a real-time glimpse of Main Street and its activities near the intersection with West Walnut Street, running continuously from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
Bethlehem stands as the sole Pennsylvania city highlighted in Hallmark's livestream lineup, marking its second consecutive year being featured on the network.
The stream may be seen at christmas-cams.hallmarkchannel.com/town/bethlehem-pa.
Car Accident Involving Downed Wires in Upper Macungie
A collision occurred in Upper Macungie Township on Thursday morning, involving at least one car. The incident took place around 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Blue Barn and Memorial roads. According to township police, the accident occurred when a driver on Memorial Road collided with a vehicle that was backing out of a driveway. This collision resulted in the backed-out vehicle being pushed into a telephone pole, causing it to snap. Consequently, telephone and cable wires were down in the vicinity. A third vehicle later struck the downed wires, as confirmed by the township police. Fortunately, minor injuries were reported in the incident.
Significant Christmas Tree Shortage in the Area
Christmas tree farms and suppliers are reporting a very high demand for trees. The run on trees started even before Thanksgiving. Adding to the issue is the fact that people are coming from all over the neighboring states to get their trees.

Mysterious Illness Can Prove Fatal to Dogs

Dogs in Pennsylvania are displaying symptoms of an enigmatic and potentially lethal respiratory illness that has affected canines in over a dozen states. Some precautionary measures are being recommended to dog owners to safeguard their pets during this concerning situation.
Owners are urged to limit their dogs' contact with canines from other households and to conduct checks with dog groomers and boarding kennels this holiday season, ensuring that these facilities haven't recently served any sick clients.
This mysterious ailment, which has tragically led to the death of some dogs, typically begins with a persistent cough lasting several weeks, often proving unresponsive to antibiotics or other conventional treatments. Affected dogs may experience breathing difficulties and progress to severe pneumonia.
Signs of the illness include lethargy, coughing, sneezing, as well as eye and nasal discharge in affected dogs. To mitigate risks, pet owners are strongly advised to ensure their dogs are up-to-date with all recommended vaccinations.

Sports News of Interest
Phillies Looking to Bolster Their Bullpen
The Cleveland Guardians are considering trading Emmanuel Clase, their All-Star closer known for leading the AL in saves for two consecutive years. This presents a significant opportunity for the Phillies to explore their player acquisitions.
Memories of the disappointing conclusion to the 2023 season, marked by bullpen struggles and underperformance from key hitters, linger in everyone's minds. Adding Clase to their roster would secure one of the top relief pitchers, complementing a bullpen that notably strengthened between 2022 and 2023.
Despite the considerable financial cost associated with acquiring this elite closer, Philadelphia shouldn't be discouraged.
Eagles Lose Badly to the 49ers 42-19
What must have been a gut-wrenching loss to the 49ers, Eagles fans were shocked by the drubbing handed to their team Sunday. There is no denying that the San Francisco team is top-shelf, but Eagles fans rightfully felt they have a team that can get to the Super Bowl. Sunday's game proved to be a wake-up call.
The Eagles started well in the first quarter but once the 49ers started to roll there was no denying them. The score tells you all you need to know about the game. However, there is no need to despair. There are several games left in the season and the Eagles have proven that they can win and win big.

Humor
For a high school dance, the head boy asked out the girl he liked. To get flowers for her, he had to stand in a line outside the florist for an hour. To make things worse, he had to wait another hour in a line outside the tuxedo shop. Finally, he goes to the dance with the girl. The girl wanted to have some apple punch so the boy went to get it, but to his surprise, there was no punch line.
